But GOG.com launched its “Only On GOG.com” sale today (read: Thanksgiving Sale/Fall Sale) and it features a fantastic deal on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt—which, ironically, is the only sale title that’s not “only on GOG.com.” We can quibble about the name later though.
At the moment The Witcher 3 is discounted to 50 percent off, or only $30. That’s a hell of a deal, considering it’s easily one of the best RPGs this year, and maybe the best game of this year period. The sale price will last through Sunday, November 29 at the oddly-specific time of 5:59 AM Pacific.
While you’re at it, GOG.com has front-paged a few other sales. There’s the now-standard package of Infinity Engine RPGs (Baldur’s Gate, Planescape: Torment, et cetera), the D&D Gold Box Bundle, a set of mostly-decent Star Trek games, and a Warhammer collection.
As always, games purchased through GOG.com are DRM-free, meaning you can download them, share them, flush them down the toilet, whatever. However that also means you won’t receive the game on Steam, so if that’s important to you then you’ll have to wait.
