HP is growing its HP Helion Network in Asia-Pacific and Japan with the addition of 50 channel partners, system integrators (SIs), service providers, independent software vendors (ISVs), and developers to the program.

These businesses will be working with HP to deliver open standards-based hybrid Cloud services designed specifically to customer needs. Some of these 50 businesses include Triforce, Oriel and Klikon in Australia, Valuepoint Group, PC Solutions and Shro Systems in India, and Asys, Eden T&S and BayNex in Korea.

HP said, in a statement, that the extension of the Helion Network will give enterprises in Asia-Pacific and Japan access to an ecosystem of Cloud partners and service providers who offer a portfolio of open source hybrid Cloud solutions for a wide range of customer requirements and applications.

These include workload migrations from traditional IT to the Cloud, Cloud native and DevOps platforms, data sovereignty, private to public Cloud or the deployment of customised Cloud offerings like multitenant Cloud, enterprise data drives, and content-as-a-service.

HP Asia-Pacific and Japan Cloud vice-president and general manager, Aman Dokania, said while organisations are convinced about the benefits of Cloud including greater agility, accelerated innovation and lower costs; adoption and realisation of benefits is often hampered by a lack of internal experience, security and compliance concerns, as well as unknown operational risks.

He indicated that as trends like Cloud, mobility and big data govern the future of enterprises in a digital world, business leaders are looking for expertise to bridge their move from traditional IT to becoming a successful digital enterprise.

"Together, we've built a federated ecosystem that enables organisations to transform with partners who know the best path for their customers and can deploy services on the right platform at the right time and at the right cost for their business," he said.
