Two leaked pictures show off what could be the next version of Motorola’s Android Wear smartwatch.
In one picture, a smaller model is on a wrist next to the current Moto 360. This would be a wise move to appeal to a wider variety of potential customers, since not all wrists are created equal.
The other picture shows a model that looks rather similar to the current edition, with the crown moved to the 2 o’clock position.
Why this matters: Usually when such leaks show up it means the final version is almost ready. The Moto 360 was the first premium-grade Android Wear watch, though it took a few software updates to cut back on some of the battery life issues it had at launch. Smartwatches are still a rather new product, so with each iteration we should see more improvements in design and engineering.
