NOA launches professional development scheme for outsourcing professionals

20.02.2015
The National Outsourcing Association (NOA) is launching its own continuous professional development scheme, which aims to help professionals maintain and enhance their outsourcing knowledge and skills.

Individuals will be able to track their professional development using the NOA's online tool, which will allow users to log all of their formal and informal learning.

The NOA said the scheme would encourage better knowledge of the outsourcing industry, and enable individuals to focus on the skills needed to reach their full potential at work

The CPD will also develop professional capabilities and increase earning potential, said the NOA.

The NOA's CPD scheme will allow companies to acknowledge the efforts their employees make in order to better themselves professionally.

Chris Halward, director of professional development at the National Outsourcing Association, said: "Learning and personal development is becoming increasingly important as technology advances and the requirements of companies change.

"This is particularly true for professionals in the outsourcing industry."

Continuous professional development will be available to all employees of companies that are corporate NOA members and all those with individual NOA memberships.

Halward said: "There is considerable evidence that CPD schemes increase the level and quality of learning and professional development.

"This leads to faster career progression and improved business results. Now outsourcing professionals will also be able to experience these benefits."
