The latest OnePlus 3 leak from Evan Blass sure makes it look like the company took some design inspiration from HTC’s latest flagship.
In the tweet (featured image is above) you can see a smartphone with a metallic design, a camera that bulges slightly out of the back side, a USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jacks. There’s also a bottom speaker grill and a hefty home button that will presumably function as a fingerprint scanner. Blass also says the phone will have a 3,000 mAh battery.
That’s all we have for now when it comes to details, so we’ll just have to wait for Blass or one of the other serial leakers to find out if there’s going to be support for wireless charging, fast charging, or mobile payments via NFC (all historic sore spots with OnePlus phones). OnePlus always tries to strike a balance between features and price, so these will remain a mystery until we get a confirmation.
Why this matters: The OnePlus 2 was a pretty nice bump up from the original, and it appears that the Chinese company is refining its tastes and design, albeit slightly inspired from others. Our last report was that OnePlus was targeting a summer release, so we may see more leaks or get the full reveal very soon.
