At Computex 2015 in Taipei this week, components makers are showing off their latest cutting-edge designs, and they're a long way from your father's dorky 1980s IBM PC.
To the uninitiated, the cases' glowing fan lights, offbeat architectures, water cooling systems and even motorized cases that open and close at the touch of an app can be a real eye-opener.
Add to that the vibrant culture of custom builds by modders, who trick out their towers with all manner of add-ons, and it's almost enough to inspire desktop envy.
The cases are popular with gamers, modders and overclockers (hobbyists who push component spec limits) as well as anyone who just wants a jaw-dropping PC.
Check out our slideshow of the seven coolest PC cases from Asia's largest technology show. Would you ditch your mobile device for one of them
