Most workers in developed countries worry about tech of the future

Workers believe that smartphones, tablets, laptops and other computing devices have made them more productive, but they have a nagging worry about the increasing role of technology in their lives.
When asked in a recent survey of 4,764 workers in 12 countries, including the U.S., to predict whether technology will be beneficial or detrimental in the future, the majority, or 56%, said technology will be detrimental.
The survey, conducted by market research company TNS for both Intel and Dell between July 11 and Sept. 5, said this group of so-called technology "downsiders" is "nervous about the increasing role of technology in our lives."
