This family-owned company has been in the vehicle rental business for years, which means it's big enough to have a real IT staff -- but still small enough to make that staff a little crazy, says a pilot fish working there.

"The IT staff alternately laughed and groaned at various owner 'requests,'" fish says.

"At one point, the company's owners decided that the term 'users' had a drug connotation. I was told to reprogram the login screen to read 'Enter Client ID' instead of 'Enter User ID.'

"When the announcement was made at a company-wide meeting, someone in the back yelled out, 'What are you going to call all our rental dealers now'"
