Grand Theft Auto V for PC delayed yet again

13.01.2015
We're just about two weeks from Grand Theft Auto V finally  launching on the PC and... wait, what's that They moved the release date again

It's true, folks. Rockstar announced this morning that it's delaying the PC release of GTAV again from January 27 to March 24. Also, the heist content that was slated to release alongside the PC version (after a similarly long wait) is still going to be released to consoles on time, so console gamers can make faces at us and call us names. But we'll show them, once our version releases with mod support. We'll show them.

No, I'm not crying. I swear.

"Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans," writes Rockstar. At this rate, I think it's a toss-up whether we'll see Grand Theft Auto V or Steam Machines release first. Hell, throw Half-Life 3 and the PC port of Red Dead Redemption into the mix.

There is some good news though: Rockstar released the minimum and recommended specs, and they're surprisingly low. Well, surprisingly low except for the sixty-five gigabytes of required hard drive space.

Minimum:

OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1, Windows Vista 64 Bit Service Pack 2* (*NVIDIA video card recommended if running Vista OS) Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz Memory: 4GB Video Card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB / AMD HD 4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11) Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible HDD Space: 65GB DVD Drive
