Razer brings its Cortex gaming catalogue to Razer Forge TV
This selection is primarily from independent developers, though there are some better-known characters like Sonic the Hedgehog and recent successes like BombSquad and TowerFall: Ascension. Razer says the catalogue will get more titles regularly, and you’ll still be able to download games through the Google Play Store.
While the Google Play Store no longer sells the Android TV box, you can get the Forge TV directly from Razer.
Why this matters: The future of Android TV gaming is still rather murky. Nvidia’s Shield TV and the Nexus Player are the main alternatives, but those are surpassed in droves by traditional consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This year also saw a lot of momentum for Google’s other TV platform, thanks to a new model of the Chromecast.
