Take Night Photos, Understand Focal Lengths, and More
Get published, get famous! Each week, we select our favorite reader-submitted photo based on creativity, originality, and technique.
Here's how to enter: Send us your photograph in JPEG format, at a resolution no higher than 640 by 480 pixels. Entries at higher resolutions will be immediately disqualified. If necessary, use an image editing program to reduce the file size of your image before e-mailing it to us. Include the title of your photo along with a short description and how you photographed it. This week's Hot Pic: "Full Moon," by Robert DeMott, Fort Myers, Florida
Robert writes: "On March 19, the moon was closer than it has been to Earth in many years. I got up at 1:30 AM and snapped a few pictures with my new Nikon D7000 and a 300mm telephoto lens. The night I took the picture the moon was so bright that the whole neighborhood was fully illuminated just by moonlight."
