Hosted Network launches availability of Veeam Cloud Connect
The firm's Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) customers will have access to offsite backup in Hosted Network's colocated datacentre environment.
Hosted Network managing director, Ben Town, said the service will be available via a manageable online ordering service on the company's website.
"Backups really have never been easier and mastering the crucial "3-2-1 rule" of keeping three copies of data, on two types of storage, with one copy being offsite is more achievable and affordable than ever before."
Customers that use Veeam on-premise solutions will have access to automated offsite backups, visibility control and end-to-end encryption aimed at mitigating risk of business data loss.
Town said Hosted Network customers that run and operate VMware's VCloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) are able to restore data straight to Hosted Network's public Cloud infrastructure in the event of a disaster.
"It covers their backups and in the event of a real emergency they can restore their environment straight back to us.

"Given our relationship with VMWare and the fact that we are moving to become entirely a VMWare house, this is a complementary product offering. We already use it internally already , this allows our customers to offer that to their end users as well."
Veeam vice-president A/NZ, Don Williams, said his firm's dat centre availability solutions combined with Hosted Network's hosting enabled both companies to deliver the next-generation Cloud services its customers are demanding.
