UK Oracle User Group CEO James Haslam resigns

29.01.2015
The UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) has announced that its CEO James Haslam will be leaving the association on 6 March 2015.

Haslam leaves after 19 years at UKOUG, which he joined in July 1997 as financial controller. Throughout his time at the user group, he has held a range of positions, including operations manager, general manager, director of operations to the chief executive officer and board member.

According to UKOUG, Haslam is taking a career break and will use the time to travel.

In a statement, the user group said that he played a "pivotol role" in building and maintaining the UKOUG's position as a leading user group globally, and expanding the group's portfolio to include the user groups of PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Siebel, Solaris and Taleo.

The group plans to appoint an interim CEO until a permanent replacement can be found.

"The role James is vacating is a key leadership role to both UKOUG and in the wider user group community. As such it is important that James' replacement is selected with care," Fiona Martin, members advocate chair at UKOUG, said in a statement.

"I'm sure you will all join me in wishing James all the very best for the future."
