Watchguard president and chief executive, Prakash Panjwani, said visibility is security and enhancements to the platform allow customers to rapidly identify and stop threats in their networks.
The release allows customers to preview network control features including one-click configuration changes, ability to 'jump back' to previous configurations, VPN management tools and direct access to individual appliances.
Panjwani said, "Watchguard has an on-going commitment to empower IT administrators to monitor and protect their networks. The addition of control features to the Dimension platform will take that power to the next level."
Additions to the platform include cyberloafing dashboards, allowing visibility of bandwidth and time quotas of employees; role-based privileges, whereby roles can be allocated to specific groups; hub and spoke VPN; one-click mechanism to block threatening IP addresses or domain names, direct access to individual firewalls, system health reports and configuration histories.
