Honda's aims for 'collision-free society' are realised with new tech

Despite the onus on car safety, increased scrutiny on installed software security may put a dampner on public acceptance of automated driving technology, academics have warned.

Seeing Machines recently annouced that it is kitting out General Motors' cars with driver monitoring technology to detect when a driver is distracted or in danger of falling asleep.

Honda's new cloud

Honda has successfully deployed NTT Communications' Enterprise Cloud service across its global supplier network, it emerged last week.

Deployment began in delivery centres in Japan and Singapore last year and will expand the Enterprise Cloud infrastructure across other key areas in its global divisions.
